Cultuurnacht Breda 2011
During Cultuurnacht (culture night), the Dutch city Breda is the stage for various art-projects.
For IDFX Breda, me and colleague Marco Maas formed the ‘culture-police’.
In the light of recent political trends to drastically cut culture-funding, we came up with this concept. More and more, artists and culture-lovers are portrayed as money grabbing criminals.
So we decided to put this trend in actual effect. Visitors of Culture Night were portrayed in mug-shots, holding signs: ‘I’m a Culture-Lover’ and ‘I’m an Artist’.
